Another project that has found a productive use for PDAs has involved health visitors based at the Children’s Chestnut Centre in Huddersfield. They are used to collate a universal needs assessment with local families, providing information that is shared with the multi-agency team so they can decide who will do what the take action to protect those at risk.

A summary screen looks like a Microsoft Outlook email file cabinet, with a file containing information relevant to a particular need, reflecting themes or clusters from the holistic health spectrum. Coded flags denote different contents in the file.
